this just in...

just confirmed dates to head to Nashville in Jan 2013 to start work on a new CD - look for that in the spring of next year!

3 churches in 3 days

and what an awesome 3 day weekend it was!  My final destination was Seaside Methodist Church in Sunset Beach, NC for a 4pm concert on Sunday Nov 18 BUT before I got that far south, I stopped at St Mark's Catholic Church in Wilmington, NC to enjoy a pot luck dinner with a wonderful lively group and then did a concert.  Thank you Alex Hill, music minister, for the invitation...we'll have to do it again!
Back in the car to Shallotte, NC that night to lend my music Saturday to a day of reflection on the psalms by Pat Bowers & Jane Moore from St Brendan's Catholic Church (Pat, Jane & I did a program for Holy Redeemer Church in Kitty Hawk NC earlier this year).  This was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday w/60+ folks interested in sharing their faith journey through the psalms and music - thanks you Pat & Jane and Mary Hart for including my music in your day!
That evening I sang at St Brendan's 5pm mass - beautiful church, large congregation - thank you Mag & Tom, music ministers, for allowing me to participate.
The next morning I sang for the Seaside Methodist's 8am and 9:30am services - got to play "These are the days of Elijah" with the Praise & Worship band - thank you Lynn & Tim - at the 9:30am service.  The Youth Sacred Movement Group lead by Jamie, opened the service with "Arise My Love" using glory rods to accentuate their movement - it was beautifully done - brought tears to my eyes!  Thank you to Mary Jane & Scott Wilson-Parsons (co-pastors) for making me feel most welcome!
Back to the other side of town, I lead music for the 11:15am mass at St Brendan's and did we move the mountain!  Thank you Fr Ryszard, Pastor for working with me and Judy Snopek for helping coordinate everything- it was an energizing liturgy - AMEN!
The concert at 4pm was great - thank you Don for running sound and Kathryn Parker, music minister, for her help in coordinating all!
and a special thank you to all who came to the workshop, masses, services and concert - it was great to talk and share with those I met...
And so on this night before Thanksgiving, I am thankful for friends, family, my music, my journey and my God...
Happy Thanksgiving...

another Living Room Concert!

great big THANK YOU to Carole Garrett who hosted a Living Room Concert last night in Duck and to all who joined us.  Carole won the concert at a silent auction in Feb this year at the annual Paws for Love Benefit helping our fury 4 legged friends at Feline Hope.    Thank you to all who donate their time and funds to Feline Hope.  The organization has made great strides over the last 10 years in decreasing the stray cat population in the Outer Banks, finding homes for many cats and caring for medical issues of many strays.  Keep up the great work Lita, Lisa & team!

I still have openings for Living Room Concerts - email or call me if you're interested!
